About this checklist
Nintendo's Game & Watch line, designed by Gunpei Yokoi, started with Ball (AC-01) in April 1980. Each unit plays one or two fixed LCD games and doubles as a clock and alarm. The single-screen Silver and Gold series were followed by the Wide Screen models, the two-screen clamshell Multi Screen series and the New Wide Screen line.
Nintendo also tried the Tabletop and Panorama Screen formats with coloured displays, the Super Color and two-player Micro Vs. System models and the transparent Crystal Screen editions. Donkey Kong (DK-52, 1982) introduced the cross-shaped directional pad that later appeared on the NES controller, and Mario the Juggler (MB-108, 1991) was the last original release. In 2020 and 2021 Nintendo revived the name with colour-screen Game & Watch editions of Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.
This checklist lists each model with its original model code, so you can tell different versions of the same game apart. Each model shows real photos from collectors on Save All and how many of them own one. Add your Game & Watch units in the app to see how complete your collection is.
